Peacocks have peculiar beauty and symbolism that is commemorated by different cultures. In Armenian tradition, they are depicted as the representatives of the Sun on Earth. In history, myth, legend and lore, the blue-gold feathers of a Peacock signify royalty, spirituality, awakening, guidance, and watchfulness. Along the holy prayers of Saint Gregory of Narek, manifesting healing and protection, the ornaments from embroideries and carpets are the formative elements of this composition.
