The Gandzaran is a medieval Armenian manuscript
that brings together solemn hymn cycles dedicated
to church feasts. Within its pages are preserved the
spiritually inspired works of both renowned and
anonymous medieval Armenian poet-musicians,
standing as a living testament to the cultural and
spiritual values passed down through the depths of
the centuries.
Excerpts from the Gandzaran kept in the vaults of the
Mekhitarist Congregation in Venice are used in this
work.
